MOONLYTZ is the creation of Gabe Maciel (Founder/Vocalist/Guitarist of The Trims). Wanting to expand the boundaries of the Bay Area music scene, he recruited some of the best musicians in the Bay to help him complete the project. David Ovlite on bass (formerly of Turn Me On Dead), Christian Montiel on drums (formerly of The Blank Manuscript), and Shahin Gutierrez on guitar (of Moon Cadillac).
The band recently recorded a handful of songs with Beau Sorenson (Death Cab For Cutie, Garbage, Danger Mouse and more) at Tiny Telephone Recordings in San Francisco and also recently signed a management deal with Sound Management (Smash Mouth, James Supercave and more) and are about to release a new single and video in the very near future.
Together, this quartet plans on creating some of the best music to come out of the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as raise the bar on the live show experience.
